Peep at Wilderness Festival – Guest Blog

WILDERNESS Festival logo

Hello festival lovers, it’s Jo from Peep here!

Peep Logo

I’ve taken over Julia’s blog to take you inside the amazing Wilderness Festival, happening 3-6 August. If you like your festival with a side of sophistication then this one’s for you.

Set in the beautiful Cornbury park in Oxfordshire, surrounded by ornamental freshwater lakes, ancient oak trees and waterfalls, you’ll find a campsite to suit each and everyone. There’s wild swimming, wild medicine walks, horse riding and mindfulness.  Workshops in art, yoga, wild nutrition, ballet, Thai Chi and even pimping pineapples – it’s got it all!

The Green Crafts Village, promotes sustainability and celebrates ancient techniques by master craftspeople. The lovely Julia will be there hosting the Lost Treasure Silver workshop making bangles and rings from recycled silver.

Yotam Ottolenghi and Thomasina Miers are amongst those presenting banquets. There’ll be feasting with Petersham Nurseries, The Pig in the Wilderness and supper clubs from Deliciously Ella – there’s even a little wine tasting if it tickles your fancy. Brilliantly, all food waste will be going to the Oxford Food Bank.

from Sadler’s Wells, late night cabaret, swing dancing and fire eating will leave you enthralled, while The Folk Barn celebrates both craft beer and folk music.  There’s masses of brilliant acts including a tribute to Nina Simone, see for yourself…
